The Pacific island nation of Niue have commissioned the NZ Mint to produce   legal tender $2 coins that feature colour pictures of persons from the Star Wars universe!
You can only use them as legal tender in Niue, but who would - they’re going to cost anywhere from AU$18.85 to AU$94 each (the higher priced items are for the 8 included in the box sets)!
The two collector’s boxes are worth dying for: chose from Darth Vader or the Millenium Falcon … but of course you’ll buy both, won’t you?
There will only be 50,000 printed of each coin, so these will probably be snapped up quickly.
All up, it’s only gonna cost you AU$940.96 … and that’s just for this FIRST ROUND of 10 individual coins and 2 box sets (8 further coins).
The mint states there will be 40 individual coins in all, so if you do manage to complete the entire collection, you’ll be AU$1,506.46 poorer (but richer in a way that you cannot possibly imagine).

The head of the New Zealand islands of Tokelau just announced a new energy policy: They will be completely powered by sunlight and coconut oil. Fortunately Tokelau is rich in both resources. If successful, the three small atolls supporting about 1,500 people will be among the first regions to switch their entire energy system to renewable sources.

“I have been pushing the issue of 100 percent solar,” said Tokelau’s leader Foua Toloa in an interview with Radio New Zealand in 2009. “So by February next year we’ll try to beat every nation in the world to become the first country to be energy renewable completely run by solar and a little bit of coconut oil.” The islands, although behind schedule, are pushing ahead.
